Members of the Waste team will be at the Shire stall at the Esperance Agricultural Show, excited to launch the Recycle Right app – the team have worked closely with Recycle Right to modify the app specifically for Esperance users.
Download Recycle Right to quickly and easily find waste and recycling information for our towns; looking for where to locally drop off x-rays, computers or medication blister packs for recycling? Check out the A-Z Look up section! Need to know your recycling day, or exactly what can go in your bins? Recycle Right has you covered – they’ve even changed the colour of the bins in their app to match our bins, how cool!
Our friendly Waste team are looking forward to helping you download the app, and then walking you through it so you’re familiar with the layout and how it all works. This is going to be a fantastically useful tool for the community to use.
Once you’ve done that, answer some questions to get a prize – keep in mind, previous prizes from the Waste team have included bamboo cutlery sets, collapsible silicone lunchboxes, and drink bottles; so we’re looking forward to seeing what they have in store for us this time!
Our Waste team are insanely knowledgeable, not to mention incredibly motivated to reduce waste – so hit them up with all your waste questions while you’re at the Shire tent! You can find us at site C10 in the Esperance Indoor Stadium. Get all the information on the upcoming Garage Sale Trail (November 11 – 12 and 18 – 19), and learn how you can be a GREAT Sort, by Gifting items, Recycling correctly, Earth-cycling food scraps, Avoiding excess packaging and Taking batteries to drop-off points.
The big message is – we’d like to encourage everyone to think about the waste they create – a good start is to bring your own container to the Ag Show for the delicious food on offer!
