In an attempt to mitigate serious accidents at high-risk areas, the Shire of Esperance will be installing pine poles and two coated wire fencing at Salmon Beach. This style of fencing is used at other coastal reserves.

Tasty Meals on Wheels food is now being delivered to clients in new meal boxes to comply with WA Government requirements around reducing plastic pollution.
A Bushfire Advice is in place for people in an area bounded by Lake Road, Fisheries Road, Tranquil Drive and Windabout Road in parts of MYRUP, WINDABOUT and BANDY CREEK in the SHIRE OF ESPERANCE.
A Total Fire Ban has been declared between 0001-2359hrs & the Harvest & Vehicle Movement Ban will be LIFTED at 1900hrs for all zones.
