Council has adopted a new Extractive Industries Local Law 2024

A "Night at the Museum" - May 21, from 5pm - 7 pm at the Esperance Museum, to honour the incredible contributions of our volunteers.

An ALL CLEAR advice is in place for people in an area between Tuart Forest Grove and the coastline, including Twilight Beach Road, in parts of PINK LAKE, DALYUP and WEST BEACH in the SHIRE OF ESPERANCE.

The Shire advises the Urban-Rural Zone will commence its Unrestricted Burning Time (Open Burning) as of Monday, 13 May 2024.

The Shire would like to sincerely thank stadium users for their flexibility, understanding and work with Shire staff on this issue.

Pursuant to Section 18 Bush Fires Act 1954 the Shire of Esperance advises Restricted Burning Time has been extended for the Urban-Rural Zone (Esperance & surrounding rural residential areas) to now conclude midnight Sunday, 21 May 2024.

The proposed marine park, workers' accommodation, Esperance Senior High School, telecommunications, and water security were some of the topics discussed at the meeting.

Councillors and senior Shire staff will meet with the Minister for Regional Development, Disability Services, Fisheries, Seniors and Ageing, and Volunteering.

As of December 2022, it was estimated the Esperance region needed 25 GROH dwellings.

Roads, shared paths, car parks and the Gibson Community Park are some of the projects included in this round of asphalt works.
